Blue Spots on picture?

June 11th, 2012
I was wondering if anyone might have an idea as to why the blue spots occured on this picture. I took about 6 pictures and they appeared on all of them about the same location in the picture, but in different patterns?

aliens or ghosts

okay, it could just be how your camera captured light. Kind of like a sunflare but more of a led flare going on.

@brumbe LOL ;) Ok, no matter what I tried, I could not get rid of them. I wasn't sure if it was the settings I was using, or just an occurance or culmation of variables.

I would say it is capturing light, do you have a filter on the lens? If so take it off and try again if possible.

Some people say they are ghosts..... but @joreasonable is most likely correct. :D

I had this on a shot I took of my son and his girlfriend. She was surrounded by a blue, flarey glow. I assumed it was her aura ;o)

I have so many inappropriate answers to this. I'm just gonna shut my mouth.

Lens flares, you are "staring" into the lights at the top of the ride. But ghosts sounds better than a technical reason.

@joreasonable I think that may make sense as I did have a UV filter on my lense come to think of it. Thanks, I am still in the process of learning..appreciate your help ;)

@flagged Thanks for the help, much appreciated. I think it may have been the UV filter. had it on for the day and forgot to take it off. Still learning. THX again!
