SESONAL SERIES LANDSCAPES

July 1st, 2012
SAME LOCATION: There seems to be an interest in seasonal series. Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter, of the same exact location / landscape. I Just started one this Spring. I would love to see other seasonal series from around the world. Here is the beginning of mine with Autumn and Winter to follow. I am kicking myself for not quit getting the same exact angle and distance on both shots and I think the frame on the first added a little something. PLEASE POST AT LEAST TWO TO SHOW YOUR SERIES IN PROGRESS. I would love to see some finished series with all four seasons.

@theodramz Theodore, do you have a series of the same shot, same exact location/landscape, for Spring Summer winter and Fall or at least two of the same shot for two seasons? To show a SEASONAL SERIES of the same exact location either in progress of finished? Would love to see that.

@shirljess : Great idea! I have some shots of same place at different seasons, but not on 365: I will shot again... or load these old shots! :o)

This is such a cool idea... I really like the vantage point you've chosen...

I keep meaning to do this, but never really have... I must find a good vantage point I can be relatively certain to be able to get to year round and give it a go :)

@shirljess I absolutely love the way you have framed the trees through the iron work & highlighted with the selective colour. The fence in itself is fascinating - where is it ??

@alceyone I LOVE WHAT YOU HAVE DONE! NOt only do you have a sesonal series, but you have nicely captured a month by month type series of the seaons! I also love the different processing on each one. The fence is located at The Dahmen Artisan Barnit is located at Uniontown, Washintong State USA, near where I live. It is really a cool place, do a search for tag dahmen barn I have 8 photos in that series showing the barn and all the surrounding fence and bulidings.

@zuzana I love just how different all the textures look from one season to the next.. this is so cool. Where did you find this old fireplace and retainng wall? Are you going to try and get the other two seasons.. I would really love to see how they turn out if you do ;)

@chackmann Oh, Cricket! I love this collage. Winter and Autumn are my favorites. I can't wait to finish my series with the winter and Autumn to see the difference. Great Job!

@shirljess @alceyone Thank you! I used Picasa for the collage, and Picnik for the framing....I was sorry to see Picnik go away -- I just don't care for Picmonkey quite as well...
