iPhone apps

July 13th, 2012
I looked around previous discussions and there have been MANY recommendations of different apps for the iPhone.

While I love the iPhone and I think the camera is superior to most...I can often do better with my 7 year old point and shoot. I need the iPhone camera to work better, it's a primary reason for buying it to replace not only my phone but the point and shoot as well.

What I'm looking for us to make my iPhone the best possible point and shoot camera. I'm not looking for editing or flashy filters, just plain old simple take great shots in all types of light.

Suggestions? Thanks!!

I would say just use the iphone camera for that then (probably not what you want to hear). There is a specific iphone camera app, costs about $6.00, I haven't actually purchased it so have no idea what it does. The reason the apps are fun because of all the filters and effects you can get. You can buy lenses that attach to your iphone, maybe that is more what you are after?

I use the camera+ app to take my pictures - You can add a grid (for straighter pictures), it allows you to do burst shots, and it also allows you to manually adjust focus and white balance. It also comes with a great editing tool called Lightroom, which I find very functional for editing right on my iPhone. Plus, I think it only costs $0.99.
