I like it because it's blue.
I did it once in 2012, and shot a roll of film with my friend
erm...I used a film point and shoot in a case, the $6 ones off ebay.
This is my fav - and I don't know if I'll get to take anymore, cos in the UK a bald guy with a camera don't get let into swimming pools much, it scares the parents
Oh, and our seas are cold and dirty
;)
@sobefree I was sort of wondering about going the inexpensive route of a disposable waterproof camera, or the low-end digital waterproof P&S that are out there (i.e., under $100). I likely would only be using it to shoot my kids under water at the pool, no more than 5 feet/ 1.5 meters deep, probably with decent sunshine overhead. Anyone have experience on how these two options would compare for this limited purpose?
If you aren't going deeper than 1,.5 meters or are doing it as a one time thing, then a disposable film camera will work fine (but you won't know how your pics turned out until they developed).
If you want to try underwater pics and are the sort who goes out in all weathers (rain & storm pics), an underwater digital point & shoot can be a fun and useful investment.
