What is this ?

Does anybody have any idea what this is.
They were growing in the forest on the Herren Insel, which is the largest island on the Chiemsee ( the largest lake in Bavaria ).
They seemed to be growing like a fungus but have a green stem and what appears to be red berries on top.

I think its Arum Italicum, just Google and you can find more info. :-))

It's known as cuckoopint, or lords-and-ladies, or wild arum. It's poisonous. It grows in the wild here.

Thanks for the quick answers.
It would appear to be a small version of Arum Italicum, or maybe it is very young.
I have never seen it before so maybe it was planted on this island and is only growing there.

yeah, what the others say, it's the seeds of the arum lily - it's very, very poisonous - my daughter ate some once.

we have them in Ireland as well. Red for danger!!!
