Life just seems to get in the way, don't you find?
I have well over the 365 pictures required to have completed this project a while ago but I have been distracted along the way so have lacked a consistency both in getting great pictures and contributing!
Today I stuck up a picture that I took yesterday and was so pleased to find that you are all still here, that 365 is still producing some lovely shots and in a moment my soul was lifted, my artistic bone tickled so THANK YOU 365.
Now I need a project for myself to get me motivated and using all that expensive equipment again :-/
Suggestions gratefully received... .
the link to the Flickr group is on the right side of the screen when you to this site. @webfoot is doing it and you can see some of his strangers in his 365 project.
@jsw0109 That looks interesting!!! I have been trying to find something new, street photography looks fun, but scary. I think I could ask someone and get their story easier than just sneaking a shot :D
@hopess13 I guess some people make business cards with their name and their Flickr page address and give them to the strangers so they can see their photo
@hopess13 I've found it's tougher than it looks, but it's increasingly satisfying. I find that when I'm out, I see people. Saying hi is easy, but that's the first ice breaker.
There was a woman tonight that I bumped into that I really wanted to take her shot, but there was a spectacular sunset and I was losing the light fast. She lives somewhere in my neighborhood, so I may eventually bump into her again, but I missed that one for some thing else.
It's really fun to talk with people. I haven't had a rejection yet, but then again, I'm only on stranger #8. I'm sure someone will say no, but I'm totally amazed at how many people just love having their photo taken.
@jsw0109 Kudos for thinking about starting one up.
@jsw0109 Thank you for the 100strangers link!!!!! I will be joining that group. Excellent excuse to quit being ridiculous and just go up to all those interesting people I have ran into and was too chicken to photograph :-)
It is a wonderful project, but scarier than it seems too. I can find hundreds of reasons to walk past a dozen strangers. My 100 stranger project is progressing very slowly.
Go for it. Remember the social part (getting their story) is important too.

Yesterday was a stranger too. I asked him for a quick pose.
