Spotted this in the Guardian, I'm definitely going to this, looks great:
Henri Cartier-Bresson: who can beat the master of monochrome?
An exciting new London exhibition pits Henri Cartier-Bresson, famous for eschewing colour in his photography, against some of the best colour photographers of our time
Sounds like a wonderful exhibit. Interesting... looking through the gallery I appreciate a lot of the photographer's work except that of Harry Gruyaert (#5). The composition is awful... a hodge-podge of nothing. How could someone become famous with work like that? Must investigate him a bit more... maybe some of his other images are better?
@rich57@sparkle@boxplayer not sure who this Certier bloke is but guess he made watches or something.... :-). Will have to check my diary when in work tomorrow but can't see me being busy :-)
@boxplayer@rich57@sparkle Just checked and have a colleague's retirement lunch in the afternoon which means.... I should be able to slip away a bit early once I've taken the usual good-bye snaps and scoffed some cake :-)
