First showing

I just have to share I am excited. I have a store that wants to display my work for a month this coming Jan. As a hobbyist it is hard for your work to be seen and critgued so I am very thankful for such an opportunity. I will need help in picking my pictures from this community. Thank for all your warm welcomes and reviews thus far. dave

@wadazomo Oh, wow! That's an amazing opportunity! Congrats! How many pictures are you going to be displaying? Want us to go and comment on those shots we think would be cool? :) (I just did this with my friends over in FB, they commented "THIS" or something like that on the pics they'd like to have as prints. I got loads of help like that.)

I would love feed back. I will have time to put many on this site prior to setting up in Jan. But yes, I need help in picking them. Thanks Johanna.

My thought would be try to pick a theme, or a couple of different topics. Displays work well in groups of threes and fives. An 11 x 14 landscape, 16 x 20 portrait, and 11 x 14 landscape straight across in one subject looks amazing. (I do antique displays for a living). It shows a cohesive product.
Also pick a group that has color balance. Using a black/white on each side of a color can be catchy. You might have to pass on a favorite, in order to make a more effective display. Good luck! and congrats!

@wadazomo You might want to mix it up doing an unusual crop in portrait just to add structure on the wall. A wall of all landscape can lose eye appeal......
