This may be a very silly question..i just really have no idea how to do this!! I was just asked by a family member ," if i would send them a picture, that i had posted, to them via e-mail in high resolution". Any help would be greatly appreciated! :P
Just send the full-sized file. I often majorly shrink down pictures for posting or if someone just wants a picture solely for viewing on the computer. If someone wants to print, though, I make sure to send the enormous, full-sized file. That way, none of the detail or quality is taken out of it :)
The alternative is to open a free Dropbox account Ellen, then you save the file to it and send your family an email with a link to the account. Only they can see it or save it.
I would add a word of caution when sending large files via email though. Some providers have limited file size limitations. I try not to send anything larger than 15mb through email. For most uses, that's still a hi-res file, suitable for printing most common sizes.
@seanoneill@ellimae Sean has a great idea with Dropbox. It's free and I have used it get my sister high quality photos I have taken of some of her interior design projects. The receiver just needs Dropbox too and they can download right onto their computer.
I really like using WeTransfer. You can send up to two gigabytes of photos in one go, and it will also allow the recipient to download them all in a single zip file, so you don't have to download each separately.
Also, whatever you upload is only online for a limited amount of time in which the recipient has to download, then it gets erased. So nothing remains lurking on the Internets :-) https://wetransfer.com/
