In recent weeks I have shared many photos taken on the island of Palawan. Two featured in the the Top 20 last week.
On the day we departed hotel staff commented that a typhoon could be on its way. On the next day a Category 5 Typhoon Bopha with destructive winds of 150mph hit the island of Mindanao. Many Philippinos in rural and less developed areas live in thatched huts and practice sustainable agriculture.
The World Food Program has launched an urgent appeal to assist the 400,000 people effected by the typhoon. Follow the link to give using the Paypal option if you are able.
