When I logged on today I noticed my project had had nearly 500 views between yesterday and today. While I love the idea of people looking at my photos, I'm a tad... confused, I guess, rather than concerned, simply because it's such a huge number compared to my normal 50-100 views. Has anyone else noticed this?
I haven't cross-posted to anywhere else (Fbook for example) more than usual, and I've only had a couple of comments, so it does look like the views are coming from somewhere random.
Ross, @scrivna, I'm only tagging you because I know you'll be able to see how many hits the site has had in general, and whether there's been an overall increase, I'm not concerned enough for you to look into it in any more detail. Thanks
You have nearly 1000 photos uploaded. I suspect that it is simply a single person (or maybe even a couple of people) who has taken an interest in you photos and 'flicked through' them. I seen it a couple of times where suddenly I see 60+ views out of nowhere (although, admittedly, nowhere near 500), and a few comments on old photos all by the same person.
@hehe1308 Hi Helen I just noticed your number of views comment. This same thing happened to me, I think it was 400 views when I logged on. I was amazed and probably confused like you. I only post to this site and have finished my first year and not doing much now. It then happened again the next day and was ok after that. Maybe a couple of people viewing could be the answer but like you I found it strange. Thought I would just tell you that it happened to me too.
and my views are the complete opposite, I only get a few views these days, when I used to get a lot. Still I'm not giving up, I do this for me, would love more people to see my photos, but I'm happy with the people who continue to support me
I noticed the same thing - twice! Without doing anything differently as far as posting goes, I had 20-30 times more views in a single day. No comments; just views. Actually, it kind of creeped me out. Reason: A sneaky family member (whom I have not shared my "365" with) found out about it from another family member, and went through my whole project. Then she told her friend how to access "365", and SHE went through my project too! I was both annoyed and relieved. :D
