Color Study

For my 2nd year I was considering trying to do a color study for a month...maybe not every month, but really try to stretch myself to see everything i can in a color.

My first thought was white...and with snow and ice I was thinking January might be a good time to do it...but I imagine white is the hardest thing to photograph?!?!?

Any thoughts, hints, ideas or sample shots?? :)

I would imagine White and black are going to be the hardest colors to start with. I'm not really an expert on the topic but I'd think red would be the easiest to start with. Just my inexperienced two cents.

I think white is one of the hardest colours to capture.... maybe end your project with white - because you'll have had 11 months of practice before then.

Sounds like a great idea Rachel. I would leave white for later in the year though. I may even consider doing something similar with my 2nd year when my firsts is finished,

Red might be a good one. Lights, signs, sky etc good luck anyway, sounds fun.

I'm in another 365 group where the theme changes color monthly. So far I found black to be the easiest, followed by red, then cream. It really opens my eyes even more to what's around me. Good luck and have fun :)
ps, I'm a bit worried about January's color....pale blue !

@cazann --- Thanks, I joined again. Hmm ... baby blue. Given that I am limited in where I am during the week, this will be a challenge but I will work on doing as many as I can during the month. For the rest, I'm leaning to b&w.

Do you mean hard to photograph to get the color correct? Or hard to find subjects? Or hard to make it interesting?

@m9f9l For White I think photographing a mostly white picture is tough...making it visually interesting.

Apparently I am on blue...purely by accident my 2 shots so far are a beautiful wintery blue...so I am going with it! :D
