New Year's Photo Projects?

January 2nd, 2013
Who else did a special New Year's Eve photography project? I thought mine up way back when I shot the new Canadian $20 bill. I kept that bill, and started collecting all the props I was using in my studio shots.

Last night, I put all of them together, and took a group shot. (About 15 or 20 shots actually... I went with the last one.)

This was never meant to be a stellar photograph; rather, a tribute to all those photos that came before.

Let's see your special photos from Dec 31/Jan 1.

Happy new year, everyone, and welcome to all the new folks starting at 365Project.org today.

The large, high resolution image is well worth looking at; my Nikon D600 caught amazing detail in this photo (click: [Original] at the top of this page for the huge 6006 x 3027 version):

My project for 2013 is the Bridges of NYC, especially on the East River.

And you would have scoffed this time last year, if someone had given you this bountiful harvest, and said work with it. LOL

@welcometocarolworld That's a cool idea Carol. Give someone a list of objects and tell them they have to photograph them in interesting ways.

fun, @northy ... I like your capture of motion, and your incidental integration of people into so many of your photographs.

@cameronknowlton tx Cameron... altho, in most cases, i've tended to hang around waiting for people to walk thru the scene... ;p

@cameronknowlton

I used PSE elements, then used a FX Panos plug in (free download) to create the 25 photo collage. The key was to have all the photos be the exact same size.

Then I used another FX Panos plug in (once again free) that created the individual curled photo images. If I were to do it again, I would have placed the individual photos then in a more free form type of placement as the second plug in creates 25 distinct layers that you can move around and manipulate.
