I'm mizhayz (Lynne) and currently live in the sunshine state.
I have spent the past few years noting the world through words on paper (yes, I write) but am breaking down the box to experiment with photography. To say I am a novice is a clear understatement so I am open and appreciative of any and all tips ranging from a good camera to purchase to editing photos..
I currently use my trusty iphone5 camera and so far it's enough.. Looking forward to learning, meeting like minded people and mostly being creative.

Welcome. I use my camera phone quite a bit (iPhone 4S) as its always with me and at times I don't think people know I am not using my fancy Canon. I have almost finished my first year and I can truly say its been the most wonderful journey but for learning new skills but the people I have met along the way - that is what makes this so special.
I'm also a writer experimenting with photography. I shoot with a Canon T3i, but I'll likely also throw some iPhone shots in from time to time, too. Best of luck with your project!
Come on in- the water's fine! As for using your iPhone- have a blast! As so many have pointed out on this site, it's not the camera that makes a quality photo- it's the eye behind the camera. Enjoy the journey and I look forward to seeing what you have to share :)

I've just completed my first year, while I'm not a 'photographer' what I've mostly learned is, by going out and taking a photo each day, I've captured some interesting photos, that I would have otherwise missed. And it's fun! Good luck.
Hey there! I'm Zach, living up in the Keystone State myself (PA). This is my first day doing the project. I tried it once before, but ended up giving up about halfway through.... This time, however, I plan on stick it through the whole time!
