What Is With The Uploader?

Is anyone else having issues uploading photos? When I upload my photos they upload fine but the end result is all messed up. The pictures will either be cut off or they will be multiple colours. Weird!

Hi Kelly, can you tell us which picture(s) is/are appearing messed up? I had a quick look at your albums and the photos look fine to me :)

It would happen to me on occasion, but other people could see them just fine... seemed to be a temporary issue related to the internet browser.

@pocketmouse All of my photos will look ok because I will delete them and try again. Today's photo took me six attempts to get it right.

I've never had that particular issue, but sometimes when I have trouble uploading, I'll shrink the file size down and that seems to help.

@gareauk1 If you use Photoshop, try instead of clicking 'save as', choose 'save for web'. Don't know what the difference is, but it's sorted the problem for my girlfriend and I :)

There may be similar options in other software, but I'm not sure.

@istacy1011 - actually I tried that as well and I also changed the name of the jpg. I've only noticed this issue over the past week or so.

@gareauk1 perhaps you are uploading photos in CMYK or another color profile in Photoshop which is not appropriate for the web display. If you use "save for web and devices" it will rip off the picture the EXIF, though.

But it should solve your problem. I upload all my pictures with 1200x800 px and in RGB color. Never had any problem.

@gabrielklee It doesn't necessarily, you just need to make sure you select "All" under Metadata :)
