So I was thinking, last year was such a huge year for events and photographic opportunities, that this year, well, it seems a little bit empty. So, out with the calendar to start compiling weekend activities for capturing! Does anyone else have a calendar they need filling of free or cheap events?
And whilst I'm quite happy photographing spoons and forks in the kitchen, I thought it might be helpful to come up with some events that happen throughout the year in various places when we start to find out about them. And also if anyone is looking for any events in particular maybe other people might know about them.
So this year, I really really want to photograph a rubber duck race in the North East. Does anyone know of any?
I was also wanting to photograph a Tall Ships event?
What a brilliant idea Amy, I would be very interested to see a list like that and I would love to incorporate some of these into the monthly word challenge.
Please let me know if you get such a list.
@amyamoeba I know what you mean Amy - last year was such a Huge year in the UK, this year looks a little bereft already! I think someone said there is an Ansell Adams exhibition on in London this spring which might brighten up the gloom?!
Our may day celebrations in Ickwell, Bedfordshire are always good for a shot - not many places still have dancing around the maypole and a may queen being crowned on the May bank holiday Monday....
@amyamoeba i work for Middlesbrough Council and will be starting a new position within Stewarts Park, Education and Events so if you can let me know a contact email i will let you know of any events weve got going on and in the other parks etc. Im sure Albert Park have held a duck race in the past? x
Please let me know if you get such a list.
