Replying to Posts

January 4th, 2013
Just putting this out there as I have seen it several time recently....when replying to a post you MUST hit the reply button on that person's comment if you wish them to see the reply. Otherwise, they don't get notified (the little chat balloon on the blue bar above that turns red when someone has sent a comment to you). People's @ names are not necessarily their visible name (in fact, most times not) and so if you just put @ with their visible name it won't get seen either unless the person revisits the photo or discussion.
In order to see the REPLY 'button', you must be "in" the photo or discussion not just viewing the comments on your home page.
Hope this helps the newbies so they can reply to people as they feel they need.
Have fun......it's a great place to be!

It would be a good feature if we could see a list of topics that we have posted in. More forum logic would be good for this site.

@hauss If you search your name, there will be a discussions tab on the left side....all the results should be ones you either commented in or were mentioned in....

i.e. http://365project.org/search?q=@shadesofgrey

And also, @ tags don't work in a photo description, they only work in comments and forum posts!

Great advice, Lynn. Took me awhile to notice that "red" button. I never even opened it up for weeks!!

@shadesofgrey Yes, it shows posts where someone has mentioned my name but those without name mentioned aren't visible. But now I know how to find at least some of my postings. Thanks!
