CABO SAN LUCAS BOUND...

January 6th, 2013
Hey 365'rs. I am headed to Cabo on the 19th of this month and was wondering if any of you have been? This will be my first time and I would love some tips on what to see or interesting things to visit that you took photos of.

I would love for you all to post your Cabo San Lucas pictures on this thread, to get me pumped up and ready to go.

Thx ;)

Ha! We went with adults only to Cabo...no children. Don't think I should post many of our Cabo pictures on here!!! ;-P You will have to try to get a picture of that rock arch out in the ocean...can't remember what it's called. It's a beautiful place...have fun!!

@tryeveryday LOL, sounds like maybe you all had too much fun, if that's possible. Thanks for the info no the rock arch, I will make a point to scout it out.

I've never been Shirley. But I can't help but research something when it interests me (it's a compulsion!), this place looks rather interesting: http://baja.com/cabo-san-lucas/cabo-catholic-church/
And since I don't have any pics that I've taken, here's to pump you up! http://abduzeedo.com/breathtaking-photographs-cabo-san-lucas

@m9f9l Oh my gosh, you are to sweet.. headed there now to take a look see! THX!

I must say that the rock arch on the water, which is the most famous landmark, looks like a donkey drinking water... LOL. Yes, take a boat ride to that rock and around it. If the tide is low, you can even get off, even though I think it looks nicer on high tide. Definitely you need to, since the best views can't be capture from land. There are many guys offering rides by the marina, and being Mexico: bargain for the price.

Esh @esha was there last week. You might ask him for fresh info.

@m9f9l Looks like paradise to me ;)

absolutely take the jeep tour or if more adventuresome the racing buggies. and at times leave the camera in the passenger seat and just absorb the ocean and sand and rock and cactus all at once north of the city. I cannot find the company now, but we went north on dirt roads, visited a local school that made us lunch (not gourmet) visited an artist, and then went on to the route of the Baja 1000 and then stopped at the ocean. It was one of the most enjoyable side trips I have been on in my life.

Yeah, looks like if you're out at sunrise and sunset, you can't go wrong! :-)

@esha I hear you were In Cabo last week.. I am headed there in a few weeks. @anazad511 mentioned you may have some info and pictures for me???
January 6th, 2013
@phillyphotos Wow, that sounds like so much fun! Did you feel safe the whole time you were out on this little excursion?????
January 7th, 2013
@anazad511 The arch looks like an amazing phot op. Did you feel safe out on a little boat...I mean at anytime did you feel like the boat was too small for the size of waves etc??? Did the company operating the boat seem reputable? You always here of horror stories when visiting other countries...
January 7th, 2013
@anazad511 How come we can not use the people name search on here? How would I pull up @esha project?
January 7th, 2013
@shirljess absolutely, we were in a group of three or four jeeps and a guide.
January 7th, 2013
@shirljess the time I was there it was not overly rough on the water, also one side of the arch is on the harbor side, the other is on the ocean side.
January 7th, 2013
What I do is that I right the name in the search like esh or @esha, and in the list that come out I do click...
January 7th, 2013
@phillyphotos oK, AWESOME THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE INFO.... VERY HELPFUL!
January 7th, 2013
@anazad511 Perfect, I will give that a try. THX ;)

I only spent a day there on a cruise. We took a small boat out to the arch, which was fun. The snorkeling wasn't great, but the trip out was rollicking. We also went to a glass factory where we got to try glass blowing.

The tide does get pretty rough there. You have to watch the beaches because there are lots of them that are not swimmable. There's a serious undertow!!
January 7th, 2013
@tryeveryday That is great info to know. My girlfriend was on Kuai last summer and came with in seconds of drowning, she had a stressed induced heart attack and they had to mercy fly her to the big island. Very scary. I do not go out in the water unless I have flotation devices on and am positive there are no undertows.

@karenpics Thanks for the info.. sounds fun... do you hace any pics to post here?
January 7th, 2013
@shirljess Oh my gosh...how scary! If you're on the right beaches, you'll have a fabulous time. It's the most perfect weather there!!!
January 7th, 2013
@shirleyjess, not digital photos unfortunately.
January 7th, 2013
@shirljess I was there many years ago, my honeymoon, way before digital and during an El Nino so it rained everyday & the desert was green. I remember the town being very quaint lots beautiful architecture and Mexican tile details. Take a 4x4 run too that was fun and you can get great beach shots there. sure you will get lots of fabulous photos. have fun!
