Hello fellow photographers. I've come to know and adore a number of folks on the 365 and I'm formally inviting anyone who want's to attend my rather informal wedding. The event is NO HOST 'cause we're savin' up our pennies to make it to England and to Ireland (in May). If you got nothin' to do on Monday, January 21st at 2:00, come by Mama's Mexican Kitchen, in Seattle... it's gonna' be a rager.

FYI, DW and I did a DIY wedding and we are still married some 30+ years later. So, an informal wedding could be a good thing. Good luck!
dang! so wish i could be there... all the best to you and i bet it's gonna be a fabu party... will you be wielding a camera? or will you pass on those duties to someone else? thing is, i can totally see you doing some awesome edgy wedding shots...
@northy I've got the photography thang covered. I'm wishin' I could be behind the camera but I have to trust that the 3 photographers that have volunteered will catch some good shots. One will be the "traditional", one will be "artistic" and one will be "everything". Not by assignment but by hunch. I'll definitely snatch some cameras and shoot. Can't let those three have all the fun! Grrrrl, you know there's gotta' be some edge... I'll find that! Wish you were closer. x Betsie

Gosh you guys, THANKS! A law was just passed that my partner and I can marry and I truly can't believe the day has come after 17 years. Coincidentally enough, our day lands on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day... celebrating civil rights indeed!
It's gonna' be fun and kinda' crazy. I think we've already exceeded the capacity of the joint. Um... oh well!

@aprilmilani Oh hell no. I've got a dress but don't really want pictures of me gettin' into it. As for hair and makeup, my friends from the Seattle Opera are gonna' be takin' care of that. I'll have my iphone. Come to Mama's April, take pictures if you want. There's gonna' be some exceptional talent in a very small space. Lotsa' colorful people from all walks of life. Definitly photo op material, TRUST ME!

@karenpics Darlin' we can only hope. It's ironic how people think, "we've come so far"... sure, we have but there's sooooo much further to go. It's a start, it's a step, it's a state. Perhaps people could stop giving a shit about who sleeps with who and let people be happy. Honestly, what's the big deal?

@digitalrn Honey, the step was taken 17 years ago... it's just gettin' the paper that says I have rights. That's what we all want. Well, not to dismiss that I'm looking forward to the shin-dig. It's gonna' be a whopper.

@gerry We are aiming for London. We'd love to go to Port Isaac (Cornwall) but likely to kick it in London. Then off to Ireland. We'll see if we can swing it... Right now we'd be lucky to get out of Seattle but we are hopin' for wedding monies to assist us 'over the pond'.
yes there are many nice parts of the Uk Devon is a beautiful location ,and London can be very busy would be lovely if you got the chance to get to London in May i would say on the Train i am about 40mins to a Station known as Waterloo from my House i do not know about milage in my car or lenght of time by car it would be quicer by Train as parking up town is a no go .
