I've got a couple suggestions on how to clean slides before I scan them into my computer. One had to do with a liquid, but not a lot of comments on how other's have done this. I have 17 trays of slides, over 30 yrs. old, with some rare photo's. I've kept them inside, they are in great condition, but want to find the fest and easiest way to clean them before scanning them. Even then, I wonder how hard it is to keep all dust and smudge marks off them? I don't want to spend forever cleaning them up in i-photo.
Thanks for any help that the expert photographers that have done this can share this with me.
@granny7 the only thing i can think of Linda one call up a old Camera store and see if they can advice you on how to clean them , and 2 you could always Google it if that does not help maybe try youtube .
@gphelps5 okay gp, that wasn't to funny. I was really serious! I have 17 trays with about 90 to 120 in each one, so your suppose to be helpful. It did give me a laugh however, as I looked at a few this afternoon that I scanned without cleaning for the past 30 yrs. I posted one today and one for tomorrow that haven't been cleaned.
@gerry Thanks friend, I did google and you get so many different opinions. I've called one photo shop, they were not open, will try again tomorrow. Thanks for being serious about it. Haven't thought about You-tube.
Oh sorry, I did't quite read it all..
That is soooo quick and clever Mr Bulldog. Gave me a big laugh out loud moment!!
