I have a Lowepro Slingshot 100 - I like that you can undo a clip and swing it round to the front of your body and access the bag without dropping everything.
I think we got it from Amazon but pretty sure we didn't pay nearly £60 for it!
My Dad has one he got in a French supermarket that's pretty cool. Has room for the camera with a lense attached and maybe two other lenses, though he only has one. It's sort of triangular shaped and the two straps can be zipped together to turn it into a shoulder bag. Don't think I've seen any in this country though, but it's what I want when I get an SLR.
seriously, for 35 bux (I think if was 40 when I got it) is is a very good quality bag. I stuck a pin over the canon logo (why advertise it?) and I love it.
I would go with Crumpler every time - sturdy and well made, not cheap but definitely quality. Many different styles to suit your needs and personal preferences. Often available on ebay (as everything is!!)
Another vote for the Lowepro Slingshot here. I had the 100 then upgraded to the 200 when it got a little cramped - shit's just straight plain cash.
Its got velcro pads so you can create many different sized compartments in the main bit. It's got a separate top compartment for other stuff (I keep tiny tripod and battery charger and camera manual in there). It's got pockets inside the main compartment's flap, ideal for memory cards. It's got another small pouch on the top/front, ideal for lens covers/filters. It's got an integrated waterproof cover tucked away in the back that can fold out and cover the whole thing (this = awesome). Most of all you can swing it so you can more easily fiddle with lens swapping and such without using a hand to hold the bag.
Major.
Oh, I'll add that my local Jessops *tend* to be quite amenable to price matching and discounting slightly, so it's always worth popping in see if you can get a bit of a deal on these things.
You wouldn't believe where I got mine. I picked it up in a second hand store for just a few bucks (compared to what they wanted in a photo shop). it is a cooler bag in slate grey..nice and roomy which has 1 big pocket in front and 2 side pockets where I can store all sorts of things pertaining to the camera.nice wide shoulder strap and my Canon Rebel EOS fits perfectly in it plus one extra lense.

I find that I use this bag for either :
1. Travel
Camera + spare lens + cards + flash + 3 spare camera batteries + 2 sets of flash batteries
2. Studio Work
Camera + spare lens + cards + light meter + IR trigger + 3 spare camera batteries
