I joined 365project only a couple of days ago, and have found it nothing short of inspiring.
I'd seen a few friends doing the project on facebook, so thought I'd start one of my own. At times it felt like a chore to *have to* take a photo every day.
Then I stumbled across this community, and after seeing what everyone else has done, it's like i look at the world differently! That sounds lame, but it's true. Wherever I am I'm seeing potential 365 photos.
I've had a digital SLR for a few months, but hadn't really given it a good try becuase the manual modes on my P&S (Canon Powershot SX200 IS) seemed to do it all. I'm definitely going to make a concerted effort to learn how to use my SLR properly, so will be turning to the discussion boards more and more for tips and tricks.
Originally I had loaded all of my (facebook 365) photos onto this site, but have just deleted the ones I took prior to joining 365project, as I feel as if I've started a new project.
Anyway, long story short, I love this community and am constantly inspired by what everyone does. Keep it up!
My friend had been doing it for 2 months before I started. I couldn't wait to join in but I had to wait to move to a different country cause my life would be pretty busy to take time out for a pic a day at that time. I was so excited and I'm super glad she got me into this. I've taken thousands of pictures on dozens of trips over the years. That has it's own fun in it, but everyday seeing what other people are inspired to shoot on here is magnificent! I love the artistic eye of this community and I'm so thrilled i joined!
Welcome to 365! It really is such an inspiration to see all of the beautiful images here, and the community is wonderful. Shooting every day definitely opens your eyes to so many things you never used to notice, and it pushes you to try new techniques both in-camera and in post production.
I feel the same and I'm on day 199. I just joined as an ace member so I could start another album. My family says I'm obsessed! Seeing shots everywhere...!
I'm on day 8 [so still relatively a newbie] and i'm hooked. It really has helped me to look a the world in a different light. i've open my eyes a lot, lot more to what's going around me, even the most simple things as a potential memory.
It does open your eyes up to the world a little more.
Welcome. I'm a bit of a newbie to 365 too. But I am having lots of fun. Before i started taking pictures i would admire people's photography and say I wish I could do that and never even tried. Now I'm learning something new everyday. This site has helped alot. Whether its from people commenting, giving encouragement, or just looking at what others have done and then learning from it to go do your own things. It's pretty amazing!
