I was so moved by an not for profit organisation I met today, named Rocky's k9 rescue, that I wanted to show you their website and urge you all to donate to them!
They save animals from death row at pounds, and feed and bathe and protect these wonderful creatures with what little money they do raise and their own pockets. Obviously any animal that needs saving from death row at a pound, is an animal that hundreds of potential adoptees have walked straight past and chosen a different pet. Essentially these animals are rejects, and Rocky's give them another chance!
If you live in Sydney, Rocky's also accept animal food, shampoo, toys, blanket and volunteering your own time donations.. Check out their site:
I met one of the women today, who cried in front of hundreds of us when she spoke about the dogs and cats she had recently rescued. To me, that is pure goodness and I really felt motivated to help them out.
So again, donate what you can spare or even just check out their site and see the beautiful work they do!
