I went to Flickr to look around a bit and because I wasn't logged in on this computer, it took me straight to homepage (as opposed to my own, as it's usually signed in) and when I saw the day's photo, I thought, "hmm, interesting choice..." and clicked to see it better...
If flickr wanted to show what you could upload... you need a generic photo of this type... this is a fine for that... but shows the danger of flickr... they can use your photos!
That photo received 692 comments - most bickering about how it doesn't deserve to be on the home page. But, I guess, Flickr has a good reason to have chosen this picture? I don't know.
But seriously, this made me laugh:
"Sorry it's a decent shot however this photo has me asking myself why I signed up for flickr? I'm afraid your photo has taken on myspace like following. For that very same reason, I'm sick of seeing it on the sign on screen. I'll be deleting my account soon."
I'm especially amused by the generic copy-and-paste "Please add your fabtastic photo to our group" messages!
Yeah, that guy is all set.
