Anything on your Christmas list yet?

September 2nd, 2014
It's coming up on that time of year when a photographer might choose a few very specific things for his wife and kids to give him for Christmas :)

Got anything in mind for yourself yet?

I am currently weighing up...

- another lens for my D7100 (I have 11-16mm, 18-55mm, 50mm, so maybe a 70-200mm or 70-300mm?)
- some ND/GND filters for those situations where they are useful
- a whole other camera like am Olympus OM-D for street shooting

Decisions, decisions.

Hehe. It's a tough life :)

I will get back to you with a serious answer ... but I guess it also depends how financial/generous they are feeling?!

My Christmas wish list could probably be called a wish book at this point, and that's only a small exaggeration. On top of said list I want a wide angle lens and a bokeh filter kit, a macro lens, I would love the Sims 4 and Photomatix however, I need my computer fixed first so I could actually enjoy those programs.

The new sigma art series 50mm 1.4, the canon 135mm 2 and the canon 24-70mm 2.8....well you have to dream BIG!

I just got my Christmas present - Lee 10 Stop ND and remote trigger. We're headed out to the East Coast (road trip) so need it now rather than in December. I'm pretty set when it comes to lenses - so now totally happy with my current gear. ;)

I'm thinking about a GoPro and a GorillaPod... A DSLR would be absolutely cool but that's too much I guess :/ as I don't own one yet I can't help with your lense decisions... Sorry :(

@mummarazzii I'm with Lisa. In fact I'm about ready to hit buy with the Canon 135mm f2. It's been sitting in the cart for days now!

@mummarazzii You won't regret it if you purchase Sigma 50mm Art, It's a beautifully sharp lens, heavy-ish for a 50 though :)

Oh, and good luck, Paul! Hope you get you wishes :)

@kiwichick exciting! Have fun with it :)
@tomtom I have the Sigma art 35 1.4 and love it, such a beautiful lens and heard nothing but good about the 50 too :)

Well now Paul how many characters are we able to type in this little box :) On a serious note...I could do multi millionaire very well but alas my pocket book is only large enough to hold a few nickels and dimes :)
As for a Christmas list. I have a number of things that I would like but I'll stick with the camera gear I have and give up my entire list for a world travel. I do hope that Santa is good to you this year and your stocking is filled with all good things and not just a lump of coal :)

What day is Christmas this year? Remind me please.
September 4th, 2014
Yes, a DSLR! Not sure which one yet, but I want to at least dip my toes in the water with a basic one.
September 4th, 2014
I'd like 2 profoto B1's please :)

I doubt my family would even know where to get me camera-stuff, so I must buy them myself :P If I think something that is actually possible to get, my wishes a really reasonable. Some reflectors, a crystal ball (those pics I've seen here are just awesome!) and a new tripod. And a remote! I think by the end of this year all of those things have found their way into my camera bag!
September 4th, 2014
@tande ah, these are exáctly the things I've bought first! I use the remote more than the rest... I got a macro lens last christmas so I'm not expecting more camera gear this year.

@laetitiapetrussa I've recently developed an interest towards portraits, so I feel reflectors are a must for outdoors! At some point I'll need a flash as well.. My current tripod is way too light for my new gear! I have a remote-app in my phone, but it takes too much battery.. Surprise! :D
