@hednod God rest his soul. I used to regularly serve Bernard Matthews when I was 17-18 years old. I was a waitress in a fantastic 18th century restaurant in the middle of Norwich. We always had to do a turkey dish for him. He was a brilliant tipper - £30 back then (late 78-79) for a table of four was a huge amount.
A fun post.
@Cherrill Not sure anyone was claiming he was a wonderful man. I was laughing at the irony, miranda was saying he was a great tipper, and aaron was just being......well aaron.
No doubt some of his farms' practices could be deemed inhumane but thats quite an indepth and complex discussion for another time. :o)
@hednod LOL - I reckon he would have loved that he was getting a thread going on a photography site even. Shame I added my pictures of turkeys three weeks ago, otherwise I would attribuite them to Bernhard. A lovely, generous man with a great sense of humour - right up his street.
I wonder if there'll be a minutes silence before the Norwich/Ipswich match tomorrow. I'm sure it will be impeccably observed .... Much like the one when Princess Margaret died and 20 seconds into the silence someone shouted "Viva La Republic!" ... Anarchy descended.

No idea if the man was nice or not, but animal welfare he was crap at...
fowl behaviour and, frankly, sticks in my gizzard.
Just a gentle roasting!
Details are currently unclear about which song he'll sing.
