I noticed that the details section on my latest photos are missing the date taken information. Maybe do to the fact that they have texture layers added to them. I'm wondering what to do about this as it may disqualify my shots from possible inclusion to the top 5 for the theme if they were chosen. Any ideas from those of you with genious techie brains?
glad you asked the question, rebecca.... I ahve been wondering that myself.... I mean when I use a MAC - all the details are there, including what camera I use... but when I UPLOAD from my HP - NONE - just basically the size and DATE I UPLOADED....
You need to ensure that, when you are using layers, your shot image is always the background (base) layer. Sometimes that is the problem.
Metadata can be stripped on exporting. Check your finished file before you upload to see if it is still there.
Otherwise, sometimes metadata can be stripped when uploading. There may not be a simple solution for this. You can try re-uploading, but it is often not that simple. Maybe The Steve will see this thread...
I have some old PhotoSuite software that I sometimes use for minor processing and I find when I use that . . . my details are stripped. Picnik does not strip details . . . I can't imagine you'd be disqualified, though, seems like your "word" as to the date should be good enough!
@rebcastillo77 rebecca check how you're saving ... and click "options" which will show another field, where sometimes PSP defaults to unchecking the box re saving the exif info
I came but it's already been answered and I know how frustrating it is to see 60 visits to the discussion and only 2 replies so I'm just leaving a note to agree with Lynn and if I were the monkey I'd believe you!

Very well thank you and I'm sorry I can't help you.
