Picnik question

December 6th, 2010
If I edit using Picnik on the 365 site how do I then get the edited version back to my hard drive? Or do I? I'm looking for the most seamless way to edit and upload so that I have the same images on my computer as I have on the 365 site. Thanks for any tips out there.

Well, I'm not the most tech savvy person to be responding to this...but, I have Picasa as the program to manage my photo albums. It allows me to send a photo to Picnik for editing and then back to save on Picasa. It works very well for me. Then I have the whole computer backed up with a Clickfree system. I learned the hard way to back everything up when I lost all my photos in a hard drive crash.

Thanks, Peggy. I figured that's what I needed to do. I do use Picasa to manage my photos and see that I can use Picnik from there. But when I saw that I could use Picnik from the 365 site I somehow thought that might be a better choice. I think not. I'm not familiar with Clickfree. I use an external hard drive for back up. I guess it wouldn't hurt to have an off-site back up as well. Thanks again.

If you click to edit from 365 I believe your edits will only be saved on 365. However, you can start your own Picnik account free and edit from your computer, then save the edited images to your computer, THEN download to 365 . . . this way you'll have an edited version saved on your computer . . .

Thanks so much Lynn. I thought that was probably the case but wanted to make sure

I use Picnik and I do what Lynn does. I transfer from my hard drive to Picnik, edit, back to hard drive then upload to 365.
