P & S suggestion . . .

I am interested in buying a simple yet good quality point and shoot for my mother-in-law. She's expecting two grandchildren in the new year and I'd love for her to have her own camera. I use a Kodak Easy Share P & S and am sometimes thrilled with it, sometimes not at all. So . . . anyone have one that they love????

I'm no expert in the photography field. But, I own a Cannon PowerShot SX120 IS (sub $200.00 range) and I am very pleased with it. All my photos on this site were shot with it. I like it more everyday. That's my opinion on a good P & S.

I have a Panasonic TZ10 and I love it. Its the third P&S I've had and my favourite by a long mile.

My whole project is done with a Fuji Finepix S2000. LOVE IT! The newer model out is the S1600 and is under $200 at most places now.

My Canon PowerShot A1100 IS is pretty good. It's my only one and I'm happy with the quality of my photos and the portability and size of it.

You can't really go wrong with Canon :) but from what I've seen, the Panasonic Lumix is looovely.

I have a Kodak Easy Share digital camera and I'm quite happy with it. It's small enough to put into my coat pocket or have the string around my wrist and the camera fits into my hand for easy carrying. beside this one I also have the Canon Rebel SX

Most of my project was taken with a Nikond S570, which I love. :-) Been upgraded now though, but is better.

I recommend Canon for its ease of use and its amazing quality and affordable price. They have cameras in every price range.

I can recommend the Canon PowershotSX120IS. It can also shoot video - a great thing for a new grandparent! It'll do anything you want it to do, but one word of advice - if she's not computer savvy, and she wants to do anything other than shoot on Auto, she might find it frustrating. I've had mine for a year, and am only now figuring out the manual controls!

I have a cannon power shot, and it works very well and is user friendly. There is a great deal that can be done with it especially if the booklet is studied
