TRA blogged today about a photographer by the name of Johnna Riddell, who has posted a number of free "vintage style" actions on her blogsite, all downloadable. And it seems people are reporting that they work with Photoshop Elements, which makes them somewhat unique in the downloadable actions world.
Okay,it`s a funny coincidence,I downloaded the exact same thing couple days ago,but from another place.
But it wont work on my Photoshop Cs5 Extended Edition,because all my software is pir..... ehmmm... I`m not allowed to say :)
@spaceman Haha! It won't recognise .atn files? That's weird, even for, er, semi-legitimate software.
Have you thought about getting a student edition version? You can get it in Aus, with Lightroom 3, for under $300. That's about a $2700 saving. That way you get all the update patches for free too, as well as support (and cheap upgrades to new versions later if you want them).
@jinximages
Maybe I need to give it a try. I mean,I simply clicked on the "actions" file,it started to open it up in photoshop,but it opens up the 64 bit version (and I can only use the 32 bit version) ...so it asks for the serial number. Is it any way to manually copy the actions and paste them into the photoshop instalation folder? Maybe I`m not making sense,i know...
@spaceman Look for, in your Adobe Photoshop installation folder, a folder called Presets. Inside that is your actions folder - paste them in there. That should do it! There may be unique paths for 64 and 32 bit, so of course, look for the 32-bit folder path if there is one.

I use their B&W conversions and many others.
