I'd had a really, really, REALLY bad day. It was the first time I'd considered not posting a photo at all and I've had worse things happen since I've started the project, so yeah.
Way TOO shallow dof! should have gone for f4 - f5.6 .... they were bugging me to open their gifts and NOT have their pic taken so I settled. Rule of thumb knowing the distances better now to have it set to higher fstop...
@spaceman ok - my daughter today gave me stick too about the borders .... but really? the DOF is waaaayyy toooooo shallow .... a bit more focus on the dudes stilling leaving the light in bokeh would be better. THANKS FOR YOUR HONESTY! love it.
this one was actually the 19th...but that's ok. It was all in fun, had to go along with @misschuff and her awesome story, but it's definitely not my best photo ever as far as quality.
I don't have the right equipment to be photographing the moon, so these pics are pretty awful.....But it was the lunar eclipse so I had to give it my best shot.
Terrible coloring on Oliver. The light on him was ambient from the window... too cold. I've questioned three different times switching this picture for the one I took of the stockings today.
here's mine. i tried some lay-outing for the first time & I this is what I came up with. the comments were really nice but i think this was my weakest for the week.

I love this picture...but the way it came out? I just didnt like it! A little blurry...My camera was on teh wrong setting...Didnt realize it until later!

Ok...I am such a newbie at all of this! So many of you have taken such pretty pictures...and think they suck. Mine must be absolutely horrid! Im thinking I may be in the wrong place...I think a lot of you are way too hard on yourselves! And I think so many of you have great talent.

@jessilynn Jess,everyone was a newbie,at some point.So don`t you dare let yourself discouraged and quit ! ... :) Never,ever take this project way too seriously. (allthough I admit I do,sometimes)..
@jessilynn I totally agree with you. To see horrid, they should look through some of mine. I have a handful of "good" ones, but most are awful as I'm just beginning to learn ALL things photography. Some days I get lucky and some days I'm just uninspired/don't care much. I love looking at the photos people think "suck" and laugh thinking "if only they knew!"
@sassykat I feel the same way...I have always loved to take photos...but, I have never had a really good camera, and still really dont know much about alot when it comes to photography. So, when ppl get hard on themselves in here..I think, Wow..I really dont want to post any of mine if they think that is bad!

The more I look at it, it feels 'forced'. I don't know, I try not to pose my subjects too much... this is not my favorite.

Was very much not inspired, so did my best to make something of this, but it makes no sense at all :-)
I wasn't terribly impressed with my lighting. Image is sharp and focused, but really kind of uninspired.
