apparently (and im not sayin this is 100 perecnt right ) but i heard it strips that info from the file when u save for web so that it makes the file as small as possible ...... i dont know all the ins & outs its just what i heard / read :)
@celly525 It is indeed Save for Web. In order to make the file size as absolutely small as possible it tweaks the compression ratios and loses the EXIF data. Instead of using Save for Web when you have finished your photo, just use Save As and save it as a .jpg.
However, there is another possibility: the camera may not record EXIF data. Almost all digital point and shoots and DSLR's since about 2005 record EXIF data automatically now, but older ones do not. What kind of camera are you using?
