Just curious, I have been part of the istockphoto community since 2003, although I have not contributed in years, I still make some money of my photos. I was just wondering if there were any other istockers here.
@janean yeah, i like it cause its always a surprise when i jump on and see what has sold. The quality on the site now totally surpasses my abilities now, so im almost afraid to upload any new stuff! I know totally sad hugh!
@scooper well, i think for some, its very lucrative, for people like me, its just a nice dinner every few months. I havent contributed in years (since 2003), I just have about 60 or so photo's up there, and they are from when DSLR's were like at 4 megapixels, so I don't earn much on the download, cause now the resolutions are through the roof, and mine would be considered low res, or web use only. But, doing nothing with just some shots taken years ago, and some of them are actually vintage shots that my family took, but I have rights too, its kinda fun going on every now and then and checking out what I earned. I didnt ask for a check for like 2 years and had enough money to buy a new DSLR, which I just got for christmas, and started using. Kinda cool for doing nothing at all :) (or at least it feels like I have done nothing)
I tried to sign up six months back, as detailed here, but their crazy strict rules left two of my three original uploads rejected, and in all that time I haven't gotten around to trying again. Really would like to get in on it though.
@eyebrows yeah, since i signed up when the site was young, and more excepting of photos, I think I got in, but thats why im kinda scared to upload anything now... LOL, fear of rejection!
