My other half went away for the weekend...
and hes got the camera... its his... yes... but wow i'm lost without it!
I've got a canon powershot D10 but its totally not the same!!
How long have you gone without a camera?!
Do you use filler photos or just skip the day on 365?
I've used fillers which i've had fun looking back through my albums but still!!!!
I'm bored having nothing to edit and upload at the end of they day!
its only day 20 an im addicted ;)

I am only new to the project and so the habit of carrying my camera with me is still a new habit. I have to agree with you that the project is addictive... I can't believe how quickly it became that way.

@frameit Drew likes nature photos... finds them interesting and a challenge... i've sooooo not got the patiences for it! i got the poops using the tubes and his flash defuser taking photos of the 100's and 1000's in my albums and they were as still as it comes! hehe.
I understand you totally!! I really badly need my sensor cleaned but am dreading parting with my camera!!! I would use the other camera you have as I like to upload from each day. It depends on what your aim for your project is, you could use fillers.
I'm only 21 days into the 365 challenge. My hometown was flooded (thankfully no damage to our place) a couple of months ago and we were evacuated apart from my son I grabbed my photos and my camera. I take my big bulky Canon 400D everywhere. I use it without fail everyday! I would be lost without it. Hopefully your camera returns to you soon! LOL.
A couple of years ago, I was into photography, but my camera got damaged and I went about 4 months without it. Unfortunately due to bad customer service and lack of communication, it was dragged out and they refused to fix it even though it was under warrenty. =( Long enough for me to have lost interest! I'm slowly trying to get back into it. I don't like the idea of fillers, but I guess sometimes I might resort to it.
@lightfantastic EPPpp 16 days! is it in for repairs?
Drew (husband) is headed to japan on friday for 12 days... i'm hoping given its a snowboarding trip he'll take the d10 (waterproof/shock proof) and the video camera (waterproof and shock proof also!) instead of the 7D! eppp...
Shall see what comes of that discussion!! LOL!
p.s. to all, im so pleased im not the only one finding the addiction early!
i so badly miss my 5d :(
we still have a 1ds and a 30d, and a D60 (early model canon dslr)
but all my lenses are different on the cropped sensors, it really puts me off.
5d and i were a team! we worked together for over a year now
hopefully insurance comes through and i can get it fixed really soooon!

my dad stole my camera while he was away on a trip..
i ended up taking photos with my phone for awhile..... >W<
but it just wasnt the same!
@sam_cr I dont like to talk about the incident, there was a strap snagging on a cupboard, and the 5d suffered a fall, it is getting fixed via insurance (or replaced) if ANYONE has a photography business i recommend insuring your gear through business insurance, if this had happened to me with it on my home and contents insurance they wouldnt have covered it, cos the camera is used in a business
Do the edit challenge while your are waiting if you don't want to use another camera. Make a copy of the original picture, edit it, then post it here. Don't forget to tag it.
On the very odd times I don't have my little P&S camera in my bag then I do normally have my phone so if needs must I'll use that - I'm not proud as long as I get my photo for the day I'll use anything!! LOL!
I am completely addicted to this project, too! My Canon EOS 20D needs sensor cleaning badly and I don't want to part with it for the time it will take. I do have a Minolta Dimage F100 P&S I carry when I don't take the big Canon, and I could resort to my Blackberry if needed. I really hate it when I see THE perfect photo op and have no camera. Hope you get your camera back soon!
After 8+ months doing this project, I feel lost without my camera. I could not find it yesterday before I left for an overnight with the grandkis and I feel lost for sure. I posted a filler yesterday, but I must get home and find my little camera.
ok, get some film... any film will do... and a box... any box will do.... google... how to make a pin hole camera... have fun... (bonus points if you stop at the local pro shop and pick up some B&W chems... I develope in my kitchen sink)
OR!!! Fine an old 35mm camera, get some slide film and shoot it... ask them to develope in/as C41... enough the random results!
@lightfantastic Argh Ria, thats just crushing. hope insurance sorts it out for you asap. i remember how shattered we were when our pentax dslr got stolen, insurance sorted it out we had a new one in 3 days... but lost all the photos (cried... yes i cried!) we rang our insurance company when we got this camera and have got it insured with home and contents... bahhh hope you get it back soooooon x
@sam_cr These floods have slowed down everything. Couldn't even get a repair or replacement quote because the service centre has been closed.
They re-open tomorrow, I am running a photography business, so this is crushing to me, 30d just isn't the same. Lucky dad lends me his 7d if I need to do a proper shoot.
I dont have time during the week to get out in day light hours to get any photos, its dark when I got to work and dark when I get back. The only day light I see is at the weekend so this is when I take lots of photos and post them for the week ahead. Im addicted to taking photos and I got a camera for xmas its a canon powershot sx 120 its nothing fancy but its a good compact in the ultra high zoom end of the market , its perfect for my handbag

Don't worry about the camera. This is a good time to just practice framing, or working on composition. Camera is only part of the equation. :-P
