Wow I just realised that I have been here a month! I have throughly enjoyed my time here so far and have met some very amazing and talented people, made popular page four times and learnt A LOT!
A big thank you to my followers for continuing to comment and encourage and give advise. And another big thank you to those of you who have given me amazing advice and led me in a direction that I hadn't thought of.
Yippeee! This is so fun! I agree...the month flew by. It is sure helping me stay chipper during a normally dismal month for me! Thank you, 365 project and all of you for your continued support through contests, comments, etc!

@silverhorn Indeed Rose, one more day and January is over... time is running away from us, at least we have our photo to remember those days that have just pass away from our eyes. Cheers!
Me too - well not quite a month ... but v,nearly! I love this place, the different styles of photography, i'm learning new stuff and all the people here are fab:-)
Ditto Rose - I have loved the first month of the project. I have made some lovely online friends in this very friendly space and I have been enthused about photography to the extent that I lashed out and bought myself a new camera. One of the best things I do each day, is to check out the home page, to see all the fabulous photos from all the lovely friends I am following. I make sure I take the time to leave comments where I can and I wake up thinking about what my photo might be today. I have been on school holidays all january (am a teacher in Australia) and I do worry a little that I may get too busy to keep my daily photos going, but I do aim to complete the year and keep enjoying the project. Thanks for starting this discussion Rose - I have really enjoyed following you.
The month did fly by. I normally do not like January, but I did enjoy this January due to the 365 project. I took a lot of pictures. I posted one photo per day. It surprised me that I kept up with taking daily photos. I met a lot of people through this project and now feel like part of a friendly community. Happy January! I am looking forward to February!
ITA the month went by quite fast!! Once this years taxes come in I'm going to be getting a DSLR (most likely) and I can't wait to try it out!!! I love my P&S but I'm so excited to learn how to use a DSLR!! This project is really helping me pass the time before my little ones arrival in April!

I'm only a month in too and am loving it. I get excited about uploading and shooting my photo for the day and not to mention how impatient I sometimes am when I really want other people I follow to put their photos up. So much fun.
@shutterbunny - Erin I am the same I flit in and out of here all day! Saturday was a killer for me . my phone doesn't have internet and I was out of town all day!
@silverhorn It's been a fast month, gotta say - love this community, it was a person on instructables introduced a bunch of us doing the January challenge to it, now I'm in for the year...
I have absolutely loved my first month on this incredible site!
It's become a big part of my life already :)
- I managed to upload a shot every day and haven't used any fillers yet (and I don't intend to).
- I got to know my camera a bit better
- I finally got motivated to set my camera on manual instead of auto.
- I got eight other people (friends & family) to join 365 as well! I love following them and seeing what they get up to.
- I've made some wonderful new online friends and I really love seeing their corners of the world.
