Hubby has kindly offered to buy me something for my photography up to around £100. The thing is I don't know what I want.I have a Canon 450, with a 3 lenses (18-55mm which came with the camera, 50mm F1.8 and a tamron 70-300mm) I have two tripods, a remote (well when I can find it) and I have a spare memory card. I only have one battery but maybe once or twice in the nearly 3 years of owning my camera has that run out, I'm good at keeping it charged. I don't know whether to go for an extra battery, or an external flash thingie or because I love doing portrait photography and would love to get into it in a more professional way whether to go for the background stand.
So I ask you dear 365er's what would you suggest? If you were given @£100 to spend what would you get?
flash... given what you have and you want to do ports... flash... something that will slave to your camera off camera.... goto your local store... they will know what that means... the nice thing is with two tripods you can mount the flash on one of them!
Thabk you everyone. Seems like I'll be looking for an external flash.
Is there anything in particular to look for when buying one? I know it may be a silly question but even though I've had my camera for a few years I'm still new to all the equipment stuff. Thank you.
Canon 430ex ii, if it isn't to far out of your price range. Otherwise, Popular Photography magazine recently mentioned some affordable flashes here: http://www.popphoto.com/content/round-hot-shoe-flashes-any-budget?pnid=68910 (be sure to click "next" in the top right to read something about each of the flashes.
I am on a budget and I just ordered the $65 'Phoenix SmartFlash'. It has TTL (through the lens) for canon cameras, so this should hold me off until I can afford a Canon flash.

If you love portrait photography think about getting some studio lights too, maybe 2nd hand?
