Silly question but I'm a newbie and no better time to claim ignorance...

When I hit the @reply button to reply to someone, do they actually get an email with my reply or is it just a time saver feature? How do people know i thanked them or answered their questions unless they revisit?

that's not a silly question. i wondered the same thing! there is a notifications icon in the upper right of the nav bar (looks like 2 speech bubbles). if you click on there, you will see all the people that commented on your photos or mentioned you in a comment. it's pretty nifty. now if only everyone would actually use the @reply link instead of manually typing usernames... =P

@denvela notifies the tagged user to come see your reply to them in comments on your photos as well. I was thankin a bunch of nobody till I found out. LOL

There is no e-mail notice when you @reply, it only appears in the speech bubbles. The e-mail is only sent when you make a comment. Hope that helps.

@christiq Thanks! If you're manually typing usernames (ahem, like I've been doing :) will it still pick it up if you've included the '@'?

@denvela As long as you type the user name correctly, yes. But if you don't type it exactly, then no notification will be given.
