I see some great collages on here and would occasionally love to have a go myself. What software do you use to create one? I'm a complete novice with lightroom and can't find a way there.
Any help greatly appreciated!
Google has a free photo editing program that includes a collage option called Picasa. Just type "Picasa" into a Google search bar and it should come up in the search results. You can read about the program and see if it's something you want to install and try. I like it very much. I'm sure there are other great programs out there, but the "free" factor made Picasa very appealing!
Another great resource is the free part of Picnik. Same basic process but gives you a few options that are different from picasa. Picnik is also seamlessly available as part of the ace membership of 365 Project.
I use the very least expensive version of Photoshop, Adobe Photoshop Elements 3.0. I've been using it for years, and was some of the best money I ever spent. It does everything a fancy Photoshop version does, just slower.
I use paintshop pro. An extended trial version I've had for... a while. It's lame compared to photardshop but it gets the job done, and is probably cheaper.
for the record:
Picasa proved to be a bit confusing, I couldn't find an easy way to just use it on a few pictures...it accessed all my pictures into folders etc. which I already have nicely set up with lightroom, so i abandoned that
and have found the free part of picnik to be brilliant!

It's free and easy to use.
