I am sure this has been discussed before, but I am slightly confused about this at the moment.
How many of you reply to comments on your photos? How many of you reply to all of them? Or none of them?
Some days I go through every comment and reply with a 'Thank you' or something more.. other days I just don't have the time and I feel really bad about it, because people have taken their time to look at and comment on my photos.. and I feel I should acknowledge this. I also feel bad if I just reply to one comment and not all of them.. although it seems that I say 'Thank you' over and over.
Again, sorry if this has been discussed before but I really don't want anyone to think that I am being rude if I don't reply!!
I find it more important to comment on others' photos than to say "Thank you." However, I try to thank those that comment at least once a week. On the other hand, I never check notifications, so I have no idea if someone has thanked me for a comment. I wonder if people check that?
I just wait a while and click each name and do one big thank you but also try to say something to each if they asked a question etc...p.s I sent Greg the duck an email on facebook and did not have any ill will about a lack of response...I just presumed Greg was busy migrating :)
I use the reply to notify them if I'm answering a question or if I generally have something specific to say to them and usually when doing so, I put a thank you in there for everyone in the event they were to see the photo again and know I acknowledged them.
I try and reply to all comments. Having said that I'm still new and the people that generally comment on my photos are the same people. So because of that I try and reply because day after day they make the effort to look and comment, it's the least I can do to acknowledge that. I then also hope over and look at their work to make sure I haven't missed anything of theirs =D
I try to be considerate and reply to almost all (if not all - sorry if I have missd some)... I just think that it is the right thing to do to show gratitude that someone looked and bothered to comment at my photos.... of course, there are days that am just way too behind or too busy - so I make do with, at least, Thank Yous! :))
During the busy times I either send group thanks or answer those who ask questions over those that make statements but generally speaking I try to respond to each and every individual comment I get. I do apologise to everyone for overuse of the words thank you and thanks but there really isn't any other way of saying it.
When life allows, I take the time and browse each of the kind comments albums and leave them kind comments.
Other times, I'll do a blanket response to my "viewers" with a "Aw shucks, thanks"
And in my profile, I try to update with an acknowledgment that I'm grateful for the kinds words, the views & the fav's.. I also apologize for a being lazy sometimes!
There are hundreds of wonderful photo's posted each and every single day, it's impossible to view all, comment on all and to respond to all. But my follower's make me feel special and I try to reciprocate. Those that I follow, inspire me, fill me with wow and I have to let them know when I can...
I fall on the side of not always commenting on photos I like in the first place, let alone respond to all the comments I get. I tend to go through stages where this is all I want to do, and then others when I am just busy that week with other things. I also follow some people that have 30 comments in an hour and many of them are just saying. "I like the caputre" or "That is great". I think I like to wait for the photo that so moves me that I want to say "How did you do that" or "I love how the color really pops in the photo and the persepective is really moving"
I don't have a large following, and by not having a large following I mean like... 9 people haha. If somebody comments on my photos I feel like I have won the 365 lotto!! I am going to reply!!! haha
I try to respond to most comments and I use the Notifications page to check whether someone has answered or asked me a question on their own page. I can't always respond individually as it's too time-consuming with the number of followers I've got, so I use the Reply button and thank everyone in bulk; I try to use their names to make it more personal as I'm always tremendously grateful for the number of comments I get. I try to comment on as many photos of the people I follow as possible as I truly admire the wonderful work that others do on this project.
I do try to put in a thank you to everyone, most of the time using the notifications. But sometimes I don't have time and it doesn't happen until a few weeks later. I do feel guilty when I see that someone asked me a question in a comment and I forgot to answer it. I do want this site to be an interactive experience and then I do need to help people if they ask for it.

It hasn't even occurred to me not to do so. I might have missed one or two comments by accident (if so, sorry!) but that's it. Sometimes it takes a few days before I get round to it as I don't always have time but I will respond eventually.
i try to say thankyou to everyone but i tend to answer questions when im online and when im thanking people ill do a mass thanku all at once ! its the only way i can keep up with it :S
I usually don't. If there's a question or the comment seems conversational, I will, but otherwise I don't want to take up people's precious time with simple thank you replies. I know some people like those, but I think some people may get so many that it could actually annoy them. I certainly am never bothered when people don't @ reply to my comments, unless I've asked a question (and even then, it doesn't really bother me, because I know how busy I am and figure others are often at least that busy too).
I just reply with a Thank You although some days its not straight away mainly its late at night or should I say early in the morning as in 12am 1am when I get My "Me" time x
