.... click on an image and an adjective immediately pops into your head, you frantically scroll down to the comment box excited to post your selected adjective only to find the last three 365r's already used your adjective????!!??!?!?! Urghh....
Does anyone else secretly wish there was a delete button to expunge those previous comments so you could be the one to say how: stunning, extraordinary, staggering, incredible, outstanding, amazing, astonishing, marvelous, phenomenal, splendid, beautiful, charming, delightful, gorgeous that persons image is?
lol, happens to me all the time. I just use the word that was in my head though but try not to use it when someone has used it near the bottom of the list but I have done it, lol
it happens all the time...but in the last few days i look at the picture and immediately make my comment and then i read the comments made by others. if someone has said what i've said, it's ok...that means the picture is exactly what came to mind...
well if you did not work all night long then maybe you could be the first to post your creative adjective. :). seriously...since we are involved in this love fest together...we can use the same words..or maybe we can create some of our own new words.. (like i LURVE your shot...Nice cosmo-ition....ok you are the creative one...much more than i...you can think up a few winners). :)
@robinwarner - how bout: Love your focalization (which I just after typing realize is an actual word.... wow I love learning something new). I've never read that one on here yet.....
lol all the time. somebody just said my pic looked angry. it made me laugh cause that's what i thought at first. it's ok to be honest......no matter what kind of word it is. :)
almost EVERY time i comment on a photo the same words i want to use are already used! i use them again a lot of the time :)
maybe i should start looking up the same words in a thesaurus and learning some new ones haha
not sure what to say now, I was gonna say everything that has already said above (haha) Yes, I feel your pain, however i will admit, if it has a ton of adjectives i usually don't add mine unless I have a question, or it is someone I know, then i may just leave a social comment . Sometimes i just wish there a "like" button (have been gulity of looking for one)
@keithdavid Ultimately, for constructive feedback, describe what exactly describes why you feel something is "beautiful". The composition is strong; the leading lines are perfect; the colors complement each other; the shapes are well defined; the overall mood is one of . This is so like discussing a student (or child, or employee's) behavior - describe the action or activity involved.
@emsabh ~ Uh-oh I think Art H may think I'm serious and this thread is serious... my bad Art. If you take a look at my project you'll notice I should NEVER be taken seriously..... (hence the multiple "winks" at the close of the original text)
Keith you crack me up every single day.
I'm now going to copy what everyone else has said by saying yes it happens to me too. Much as living in Australia is great it puts you behind the 8 ball as far as 365 goes cause all the action happens when we are asleep - very rarely do we get to be the first to comment on photos.
My solution is to comment first then scroll back up and laugh at all the identical comments.
@emsabh...i agree Art...hearing praises is awesome and beautiful, but we always can learn something new. i'm not very good at being a critic, since i'm not a professional photographer, but hearing other perspectives is always helpful.
This actually happened to me on your photo!!! I thought I would be the only one to say how much the subject looked like a fisherman...but there it was...MAN!! Bummer...
@keithdavid There should also be a sidebar for all technical terms that have to do with photography, so I can stop Googling what I don't understand! (really just joking Ross, love this forum)
@aj1268 most of what I google from 365 has nothing to do with photography!! LOL- really I have learned more than I expected with this project. I should start writing it all down, some of it is off the wall ;p
Yes, exactly. :) But I still use the adjectives anyway, most of the time. Redundant, yes, but better than looking at the photo, seeing that everyone said what I was thinking and deciding not to comment at all. :)
@minxymissk @kirsty1975 @deniseescovino @angievega @emsabh @bugik @robinwarner
btw, i lurve your thread. teehee........:p
maybe i should start looking up the same words in a thesaurus and learning some new ones haha
