There are quite a few threads asking about your favourite picture. When looking at others photos there are usually 3 type which capture me, ones which get an emotional response (heart) the ones which have had fantastic editing (brain) and those where the subject or composition grabs my attention (eye).
I would really like to see 3 examples of your work:
1 which you took because of the emotional response it caused you
1 which you're proud of how you edited it
1 which you are happy with the subject and how you composed it
The first was definitely an "emotional" picture. I don't edit my photos (other than what is done in-camera), so the other two I am proud of purely for the compositional and lighting aspects. They came out exactly how I had imagined, which was very rewarding.
Heart I'm a Mummy and proud to still be Breastfeeding my 29month old so this is a most special pic, but obviously any of my kids are special coz I luffs 'em!
Head, looks like a painting which is a fluke as I have only started processing the past 2 months.
Eye, I love how this turned out, or didn't
this is such a great idea!
for heart: my dad, I did this for the theme hope. He's been battling prostate cancer, and despite the odds he's still here with us

@emmar 84 Oh, my. What a great analytical mind you have. ;) This theme thread is the best one I've seen since I joined 365 Project on January 30, 2011.
this one is my emothional responce, its our war memorial and Im very big on remembering our heros and I cry every anzac day at dawn service.
I really liked how i edited this one and the capture
This is of my daughter... we now call this the vogue pose! and is my fave photo!
I *love* the concept of this thread, what a great idea. Being so new, I feel that I am woefully inadequate when compared with the rest of you but I so want join in. So here goes...
This one represents my love of being here and learning the art of photography...
Heart: I caught her in a rare quiet, thoughtful moment.
Brain: This was one of several shots I was trying to get of this butterfly. Was difficult, and I couldn't get very close, but I was proud with what I did with how I cropped it and edited to showcase this guy and his shadow.
Eye: I always have these flowers to fall back on for a photo, and this day I waited for a truck to drive by in the background to get a colorful motion blur behind the flower. (Was outside my house along a busy highway with my camera on a tripod pointed at traffic, might I add...Who knows what people were thinking??)
Wow! There are some wonderful photos on here, thank you for sharing them all!
Here are mine;
Heart:
This picture is of my sons first booties, they were far too big for him and my daughter was even smaller than he was. It reminds me of how far my children have come and how proud I am of them both. it also reminds me of the constant support I have had from my husband. I really do love my family more than anything else.
Brain
Whilst I did not need to edit this picture much (only adding a colour tint and a little cropping) I thought it was really effective.
Eye
I was really happy with how I arranged this photo, I didn't crop it or adjust the exposure/light levels. I added a vignette and a sepia effect which I think adds to the feel of the picture however I was happy with the original shot too,
What an awesome thread...
Heart: ( and my very first pic on my 365)
Brain:
eye:( didn't even realize how nice this pic was...until I put it on the computer
I, too, think this is a fantastic thread - I have to wrestle what I post at times depending on what my heart, head, and eye are saying...lots of times, they argue. I think I will start using the tags "my-heart" / "my-brain" / my-eye" to keep track of who "wins" the argument most often. :)
My heart is in my family...I love my beautiful niece Kate so much!
My brain worked hard to get the water drop series on Valentine's Day. My Heart Drop got the most views and a place on the popular page, but I'm also very attached to the two pink drop photos -- here's one of them...
My eyes are always looking for the perfect photo, but sometimes it's just really good reflexes and luck. I saw these crows flying by and was able to get this...
HEART - The total trust an infant has in their parents, melts the heart.
BRAIN - Without editing (albeit a simple punching of the colors and a DOF action), this would be just another aisle in Home Depot.
EYE - Being after sunset, I was afraid I wouldn't get anything decent. I pushed the ISO and opened my aperature. The silouhetted man (and his body stance) really add to the overall composition. I was pleasantly surprised.
Heart- easy to pick subject b/c my nephew is my heart. Hard to choose photo b/c I have "better" pictures of him but this one just shows him being him- playing & happy in his new Buzz Lightyear jammies.
Brain
Eye- gotta go with this one b/c it's actually sooc & even 2 months later I keep going back to it & it keeps getting more views
I know I've said it before and I'm sure I'll say it again, the level of talent on this site and the insight into so may lives in different countries and cultures amazes me. Thank you to everyone who has shared so far and I look forward to seeing even more photos
Ok
Heart - this one because it was taken on my princess's fourth birthday and it was quite a year to get her to here
Brain - this is one of the few that I have actually sat and thought about how I was going to take the photo, what I was going to do and then the post edit with a little help from a 365'er
And eye, this one can be used as heart as well but I just love the way it all fits together

As for editing, how could I not pick this? Most of my photos are sooc, actually, so there wasn't much choice:
Eye is the one for which I has the most choices. This one constantly impresses me, though:
Yes i know i set this one up but it was an emotional time that led me to creating this shot of my son :
Happy with the edit :
and finally this one , because i just absolutely love it :)

Editing I lovethis one because it looks a bit fake but all I did was saturate the colors!
Comp. etc probably this, because of the dof

This photo is close to my heart. The young girl is my sweet precious daughter dancing her heart out.
I'm very happy at how this NYC photo came out. I wanted it to look like a vintage photo rather than one I just took.
It took me a while to create this one, but I'm very happy with the results!
