Lately i've been thinking Picnik isn't cutting it for me anymore :/
What are some nicer photo editors that cost around $100.
I was thinking Lightroom Student & Teacher Edition? I was curious what the difference is in that edition compared to the original? Or is it just the price reduction due to being a student/teacher?
I have the Lightroom 3 Student-Teacher edition and I think everything is the exact same as the regular LR 3. I LOVE it! I have found that the tutorials on You Tube and the internet in general, I am able to do everything with it. It's a great tool! The tools are so much easier to use, once you get the hang of it, in LR3, than in regular PS. I still use my CS2 to do some things that I haven't figured out yet is LR3. But, I highly recommend LR3 Student-Teacher Edition. It is well worth your money. Just keep in mind that you have to be a student to get it, you have to show proof in order to get the serial number.
I don't use purchased post-production thingos... I do use the simple bits and pieces available on iphoto, and sometimes I use picassa or even Olympus Master.
Would love to be clever enough to know what photoshop or piknik even is, but I don't... I try to get it right in camera.
Adobe will allow you to purchase ONE piece of software on a student Licence per year if you can provide proof of eligibility - You need to be a teacher, in higher education, or a high/junior/infants pupil.
@deforauls53 well, I'm not a professional photo editor, but I love to enhance photos by adding photo effects using photo face editor to beautify their faces and bodies, but the most important thing I keep in mind is to be natural and not over edit.

it is the full software discounted for the students... the idea is that if you use it in the class room you will use it in real life...
I use GIMP, Picasa, LR3, and paint mainly...
