Don't laugh...I SO did it. I started my 2 year old son Jackson a 365. After many suggestions to go ahead and do so, and lots of hypothetical and quite funny deliberation, I decided it might actually be cool. My mother thought that was just a hilarious idea, so I was convinced. It'll only be pics he took, no editing at all. Should be interesting to see what a 2 year old takes...lol. I'm going to try to get him to pick out the one he wants me to put up too if he takes more than 1. We'll see....may not be daily, but it'll sure be funny. And what a great way for us to spend some time shooting photos together. May be having to actually buy him a camera soon!!! lol
good for you. and him, I signed Avery up, and he lasted a good month or two, but lost interest, because photos arent as fast as cars.. lol
Nice first shot. will follow him to see how he goes.!!
My two girls, age 5 & 6, have started their own 365. So far one has a bit more interest than the other in posting photos, but they both enjoy using their cameras any chance they get.
I was actually thinking about doing this with my 18 month old. She loves to play with my iphone. But it'd probably just be pictures of like, her feet, and cheese sandwiches and stuff.
@pwallis lol!!! I'm pretty sure that's what jacksons pics will be. The other day he took a cool one of Woody...i figure that's pretty much going to be the norm...lol!
@amyhughes Oh yes! I gave them an old camera to share in order to occupy them while we were out driving around in the evenings looking for photo ops (they have since been given their own cameras). I thought it'd be a great way to cut out some of the whining and fighting if they were otherwise occupied and allow me a moment or two to actually compose a shot in peace. Turns out I was right!! Now the only frustration is one or the other of them yelling "STOP!!!" every 200 ft. And the 3 y/o who cannot be the only quiet one!
have you seen the kitty collar cam? a little camera that goes on a cats collar (or dog, i suppose) and can take video or interval shots. So, you could actually start an account for your pet.
wonderful!! If he love's it then encourage it :)
My son (5) has been taking pics for a few years now, he gets some pretty good shots sometimes, I think it's wonderful to see the world through little peoples eyes :)
CUTE! My children ages 3,5, and 11 are also all doing 365... My 11 yo takes nicer photos than I do (using a very old P&S). Makes me feel proud yet a bit sick over my own photos.
What fun! My nephews have both taken heaps of photos with my camera phone and I have them specially stored as special memories for later in their lives. (They are both under 5)
Awww! I will surely follow him! ... u should also put it all in a book. That's what i did for my son. Put all his shots in a photobook. :-D though havent done it lately as he hasnt taken any lately.
I think it will be fun to see what he does. I agree, give it a try. I was actually going to see if my Grand-daughter wanted to try it, but at this point I think she has too many other things going.
I love seeing what the wee ones can do, It's like looking through a child's eyes since we tend to forget what life was like as a child. That's why I got my wee ones into it too but they haven't posted in a few weeks. My eldest has taken pics though, just need to get round to uploading them, lol.
That's so cute!!
My just 3 year old & 5 year old LOVE taking pics. The only problem is I have to spend ages deleting all the copies as that do get carried away & take hundreds at a time!!!
Considering I have used a few of my 5 year olds pics as they were better than anything I got that day I should set him up his own account. He does have a passion for sunsets & clouds though, so there would probably be quite a few in there!
So fun!! I kinda want to do this with my little guy! I'm not even sure he'd take pictures though.. I have an extra camera laying around he could use :)
My girls love taking pictures too, my youngest (3) loves my camera phone. So I have to be careful, because she has before now done that one click.. and the picture is then on Facebook haha!
I don't know how often it will get updated since he doesn't come here everyday and I don't trust him enough to take a $80 camera home with him but I'll add some when he takes more.
I let my 3 year-old son take my camera the other day and snap a whole load of pics; I could see he was really trying to improve his framing as he went on...I may have to take your idea and let him do the same...
Nice first shot. will follow him to see how he goes.!!
