ipad

Just looking to see what people have to say about the ipad. I have a new imac I love, but miss the portability of my laptop. I would use the ipad only to do e-mail, internet, etc....

I think it would be a great way to share pictures etc...I am not sure if I should get the ipad1 or ipad2. I am not convinced the ipad2 is worth the extra money?

I love, love, love my ipad1!
It is such a great size I carry it with me everywhere. I purchased mine for the same reasons, e-mail, internet, 365 (hahaha) facebook, games, schedulebook, shopping lists, quick sketches, banking, etc...
The only thing that I don't do on my ipad is edit and download my photos. I still use my desktop for that.
I say "go for it!"

I love my iPad, i hardly ever use my laptop now, I have downloaded all my 365 pictures to the iPad and the image quality is amazing compared to my laptop.. I wouldn't be without my iPad now.. I have the iPad 1 and I have no intention of upgrading it, I will buy the camera adaptor cable soon.. Go for it xx

Only thing I use for editing and I take it with me everywhere. The workflow is superfast and I may not be doing this project without one.

Get the new generation. I have the first and really want the camera. If you can afford it, get the newest and you won't regret it.

Are there any photo editing software you can add to it? I have been thinking about it but when I saw the photo editing on it - wasn't impressed. Used to have a MAC and loved the iphoto. Currently using a PC and thinking about iPad so I can edit on the go!

I just got my first I pad 2, and I can't get photos to download. 365 keeps opening a window with several choices for Mac products. Does anyone know which one I need to download?

it really does depend on your usage. I love mine and probably use it as the main "computer" 60% of the time at home. Its for those times when i'm on the couch and on a whim want to look up something, or quickly check something.

I still would use my laptop when booking holidays / writing documents etc but for surfing 365 and other sites quickly, there's nothing better.
