I know 365 isnt rly full of many "photoshopers" or manipulators, but I was still curious if anyone else on here had done a take on this effect since its something that ive seen several times elsewhere
Im interested in seeing it from other peoples perspectives!
Idk about tutorials, Ive been using PS for a long time so I came up with how to do my effect on my own.
A good place to start would be to find Scatter Brush tutorials for PS. I used several of my own made scatter brushes to create my effect using a tablet to paint it where i wanted it etc..
For removing "pieces" of yourself I like to work with layer masks b/c its Non-Destructive so its easy to go back and alter things later w/o having to bring in the original and erase things again. Masking can be a little... tricky-ish to understand at first but its very useful once you get the hang of it.
Getting it all to "look right" is a matter of patience with blending values of debris. Using multiple layers of debris and running a gaussian blur filter on one of them can add some nice depth (tho I did not use that technique in mine since I like to paint with my tablet more)
If i have some free time ill try to create a video tutorial for what i did, or at least an overview of it.
NOTE: THESE WERE NOT DONE BY ME.
