Have recently been looking into printing cards from my own images plus vintage local views that are now out of copyright with a view to selling at local markets.
Have just sent away for a Canon Pixma ip4700 as my printer (it can print up to 300gsm card and has superb reproduction), also a ream (5 packs of 125 sheets of A4) of Xerox 300gsm card from a good supplier on eBay. It works out to about a cost of 25p-30p a card (minus the cost of the printer), so I should be all square in a couple of years - lol
Anybody else have any experiences of printing cards from their own images, what set-up do you use? and how is it going? Please share your experiences.
I have had cards printed through Shutterfly but it is pricey doing it that way unless you hit a sale, etc. Let me know how it goes with printing your own. I am debating on investing in my own printer, etc.
