I've been stuck in a boring rut for over a week now. I've browsed photos, looked at message boards suggesting ideas, and walked all over the house. I've noticed I have plenty of toys, books, and mirrors. Does anyone have any interesting shots using these subjects? Maybe your shots will help inspire me to try something new.
yes ! i have a few toys and mirrors shots :D and i think one books one way back in january too :) feel free to snout at my shots to see if anything helps lol x
I've heard one person suggest making poetry out of the titles of books, using the spine of the books and stacking them down. Toys sitting on mirrors or reflected in some way...
I'm allergic to selfies, but I do try and commit to one a month. I used mirrors facing one another for this one.

And there's been a couple of photographers on here that have picked their favorite book and done a series of photos based on the book. This is the last photo I used in my Peter Pan Series (scroll backwards from this one and you can get a general idea of what I did, there were 7 of them.):
I've photographed heaps of toys (which is kind of awkward in your twenties, haha) when I have no time for anything else.
I have some book photos too (including yesterday's!) but my favorite is this, because the author is on my friend list on Facebook and he saw it and commented on it :D
I feel the same. I spent a little while buying and photographing sweets and chocolate for a bit too a while back. Good thing about that is you get to eat it afterwards. I think I need a holiday to get some inspiration back. Same sights everyday!

@aj1268 okay I'm going to do this, but it will require me to unpack a few books. I packed up all my books first because i thought there would be no reason for me to need them in the next two weeks. ha- figures.

@nikkers Hilarous! You always seem like such a fun person by your photos.
@indiannie_jones I'm in my 20s too, but at least I have a daughter as my excuse for MOST of the toys around the house, haha.
