My wonderful husband has told me to go out and buy myself a zoom lens for my Nikon D90.
I am planning to keep the price to under 500.
I am having a hard time figuring out what the difference is between thse two lens.
Nikon Nikkor AF-S Telephoto zoom lens - 55 mm - 300 mm - F/4.5-5.6 - Nikon F
and the
Nikon Zoom-Nikkor Telephoto zoom lens - 70 mm - 300 mm - F/4.5-5.6 - Nikon F
Is it just the zoom range that is diiferent? why would the 70mm be more expensive?
Nothing constructive to contribute, but just observe that apparently there's no sign at your house: “Please don’t feed the monster.”
No such sign at this house, either! ;)
@cohare The Nikon 70-300mm is for Full Frame Sensor like D3, D700. Its also somewhat semi-Pro lens. While the Nikon 55-300mm is a DX lens for APS-C Sensor like d90, d300, D7000,etc for consumer lens. Full Frame lenses are more expensive than DX lenses but you can use both lenses on your D90 but the Nikon 70-300mm will be equivalent to 105-450mm on your D90. I also think Nikon 70-300mm focuses faster and has less distortions.
