Can someone please instruct me on how to remove these spots from my camera. I've cleaned the lens inside and out but these spots show up on every shot I take outdoors. I'm tired of having to edit these spots out of all my photographs. Help :(
Those will be on your sensor, not your lens. Do you have a "rocket blower" or similar? If so you can lock up the mirror and try to blow the dust off. It's more than I can explain here - just look up Canon sensor cleaning. Be very careful or you can make it worse, and don't use anything not specifically made for cleaning a sensor.
I use a Rocket Blower, like Michael said. If it is really stuck on you can get swabs, but I'd suggest taking your camera to the shop and paying them to clean it (sensors are fragile things).
I always ask the professional camera shops to clean my sensors, and also have to ask for someone I can trust (some people just like to try especially if the cameras are not theirs). But I live in a city (Bangkok) so it is easy for me to drive and drop/wait).
@kamoff After reading this i took a picture of a white piece of paper (f22) and zoomed it 100% on my laptop, my sensor was really dusty, I youtubed how to clean dust from my sensor and the difference is amazing.. Im not saying to do it yourself because i wouldnt want to be responsible for any mistakes but ive just done it with the mirror lockup and a special blower.. Thanks for opening this discussion xx
@aikiuser I agree, the youtube tutorial told us not to use compressed air or use wet swabs, it the rocket blower didnt clean it then take it for a professional clean..
I have the same problem. I've been procrastinating taking care of it because I didn't want to be without my camera. You've inspired me to finally do something about it. :) After doing a bit of research I've found a place with a one day turnaround so I will take it in today for cleaning. :)
