I think the real trick is to take photos that you want to take. As soon as you start to get hung up on how many followers you have/how often they're commenting it loses it's appeal. So long as you're taking shots that you want to that's the main thing. Think about why you're doing this as well. Is it simply a visual diary? Are you wanting to improve your photography skills? If you'd like people to critique your shots point that out in the description. If you'd like people to see your photos take part in the competitions and browse and pick etc. But mainly just enjoy the journey, and welcome to 365 :o) xx

I second @psychographer - a couple of weeks or so ago I realised that I'd started trying to take photos that would get views/comments, or make the popular page, and ended up starting getting frustrated.

Work out why you're doing it, and stay true to it, and enjoy the ride. :)

I agree with @eutony and @psychographer; and don't ever forget it's YOUR project! :-))

Welcome to the project!!!
I completey agree with @psychographer as well. And I can add: have fun! Take loads of pictures, take your camera everywhere but most of all have fun. If you want to learn and get feedback on this page, the best thing to do is look at other people's pictures, maybe ask them specifically how they archieved something you like or comment on their pictures and they will be likely to comment back.

Welcome dk !!
In my opinion the 365 Project is so much more meaningful because of the interaction I have with others here. When I feel uninspired I see others photos and I find inspiration. When I'm feeling to lazy to take photos I remember that others do this 365 days and I can too.

Be sure to get involved in discussions, look at other's photos and comment ("Browse at the top of the page"), and be inspired.

As other's have said make your photos for you. I would add that there have been many times that I've not been happy with photos that I've uploaded, but I did it so I wouldn't quit. I was often surprised that others saw good aspects of the photos I didn't see. So even if you're not thrilled with a day's photo, post something.

Most of all Have Fun. Look forward to seeing you around.

P.S. Don't forget to add a profile photo so we have something visual to connect with you :)

@mamanicole From seeing your profile pic it looks like you've figured it out. Just in case you're still wondering... Under "you" at the top of every page, go to "Settings". On this page just beneath the words "Your settings" click on "picture". Here you should be able to upload a photo that will be your profile pic.

I hope that helps somebody.
